TIME FOR PEPLUM TOP

Hello everyone. I have to say that I am stoked for summer. It's already here and I can't wait to fully enjoy it. Just 2 more weeks of studying and then I can do whatever I want. The best feeling ever. I've decided I'm not going to spend it watching tv shows and movies because I realised that is a waste of my time. I'll read and do more posts for you guys. I really miss taking pictures and just write about what is happening. I also miss making videos. I don't know why it just like the process of making one - film it, edit it and that's that. I hope I'll get to do that more often too.

Right now I am like a cocoon - I've been studying for a week and I haven't properly left the apartment. I will go crazy soon. And I still need to study for 2 weeks because my last exam is on June 23rd. I have no idea how I'll endure that. But I've decided I want to finish everything on time and I really hope I'll be able to do that. But after that I'll try to enjoy my vacation and do something productive. A lot of times it happpens that all I do is the opposite-watch tv and do nothing and then I argue with myself  why did I do that. That's so me. Hopefully this year it'll be different.

I wanted to share with you this gorgeous piece of clothing. I really like that it's so fancy. I can literally just wear my skinny jeans and this top and I'll look like I've put a lot of effort in it, when actually the top itself does all the work. You don't even have to add a lot of jewelry because of the golden detail under the collar bone. Maybe a few rings and that's more than enough. The other thing I really like about the top is the mixing of fabrics. The white part is silky material and the black part is faux leather. I am obsessed with mixing different fabrics because I feel like it adds some sort of dimension to your clothes, it looks really special. The fact that it's peplum also emphasises the girliness and the playfulness of the top which again makes it more special. All in all the top has a lot of my favourite features. Also you can spice up the whole outfit a little-add a pair of high heels and you are all set for a night out. You don't have to worry about anything. It's by far the most effortless outfit I've ever worn and still manage to look like I've done something more to it (don't even know what this sentence means xD).

That's it for today's post. Hope you enjoyed it and I hope it gave you some inspiration for your future outfits. Untill next time xx

LAYERING IN SPRING

Hi everyone. I have another fashion post for you. Here in Slovenia we already have spring/summer weather, but there are days where it gets a bit chilly so I decided to show you how I style my outfits on those days. I love layering any time of the year. I just think it makes the whole outfit more interesting, There's always something going on. Here I wanted to share with you this amazing sleeveless coat that actually belongs to my sister. I just love it and I borrowed it from her. That's what younger sisters are for ;) If it was a warmer day then I would definitely wear a sleevless top underneath, but here I have a basic black top. I just think that black really makes the outfit more classy and chic. I paired that with grey denim and and a pair of boots from H&M. I really wanted the main focus to be the coat because the colour of it is white and I wanted everything else to be in the background. That is also why I have a minimalistic jewelry. I just added a long necklace and a choker from Accessorize. The last thing are a pair of sunglasses and my cute blue shoulder bag for a touch of colour. But again I opted for a small bag and a darker colour of it because I didn't want it to stand out. The main thing in this outfit is definitely the coat.
Now with the warmer days approaching, I can't wait to bring out lighter clothes and bright colours. My favourite time of the year and I'm definitely ready for it. Okay I still need to buy loads of new clothes, but I don't think this will be a problem for me since I'm obsessed with shopping.
Let me know how you style cothes on colder days in summer. Till next time xoxo

ENOUGH WITH THE SOCIAL MEDIA!

Hi everyone. It's been a while again but I'm back. I have to say that lately I feel really uninspired when it comes to doing things with internet. I actually hate everything about it. The constant connection with it is driving me crazy. I used to check my phone every morning when I woke up and in the evening I would browse through Facebook for hours. Then I started thinking about this. Why are we so obsessed with internet/social media? What makes it so fascinating?

I could say for myself that I wasn't yet born into this world of facebook, instagram etc. which I'm really glad about it. I remember the day we got internet installed in our home-we got it later than everyone I knew. Everything was AMAZING. You could google whatever you wanted. The first thing I got familiar with when I started using internet were games where you dressed different dolls. I was obsessed with this (and I dreamed of having this many clothes). Later I discovered Youtube. I spent hours there. I listened to so many songs, discovered new artists every day. I also started watching Youtubers. Everything was so easy and entertaining. Before that all I could do is play games like chess and cards and watch movies on CD and of course listen to music. That is it. I also remember we only had one computer and I would argue with my siblings whose turn it is to use it. It was so innocent. At that time Facebook appeared. I remember joining it in 2009 and that was just something new for me. A whole new world. You could say I became addicted to it. And before that I was obsessed with Messenger. Does anyone still remember that? I would chat with my friends all day long. That's how it all began I guess.

Later in time smartphones appeared. Now that's also one thing I got later than my peers but I finally got one and that was just mind-blown. Since then I can say things got a whole lot different. At first everything was still new and I didn't know what you can do with it. My friends had the same knowledge as me so that means we still hung out alot outside, at home, went rollerblading... When I was in my last year of high school I discovered the real side of internet and social media.

Social media was never a big deal when I was a kid. It didn't exist back then. At least I think it didn't (maybe I was just ignorant about it). So it all unravelled in my teenage years. Worst years ever and the best actually :D. These were the years where you had to have everything your friends had. If they had a cool new t-shirt, you needed one too. That's precisely how it was with electronic gadgets and everything that came with that. When one of your friends started using a new app, you had to have one. That's how our minds worked and it still does in some cases. So I started using Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat. All of the things that were never that big of a deal. Then I started discovering everything, how it worked, what are the features... After some time of course I got hooked on it. I would use these things all the time. I would always have a phone in my hands. It was just disgusting. I was never aware of the consequences that the internet and social media have. I would stare in my phone most of the day. I would talk to my friends only via facebook, Snapchat. What kind of a relationship is that?

A year ago I started realizing that this has a weird impact on me. I would go through Instagram feed or Facebook feed and see alot of people having the best time of their lives, I saw pictures of the most beautiful women and thinking why can't I look like that. I would feel sorry for myself, for how I looked. I would think their lives are better than mine. I realized I didn't appreciate my own life because I was so concentrated on lives of other people. I only thought of negative things. That also triggered my thinking that I need to be like them, I need to have cool photos taken somewhere nice. In reality what you see on internet is only 1 good picture. Who knows the story behind it, how the person felt when posing for it. Another thing I would do is I would wake up every morning and go through Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and just scroll-almost like a robot. I would do the same thing before going to bed. The sad thing about that is that I wasn't even aware of that impact. I wasn't aware that I'm the one to be blamed for doing and thinking like that. If I didn't spend so much time on these apps, maybe I would like myself more and didn't feel pressured about a lot of things. For the last year I constantly had this on my mind, and through that period I started using internet less. There were days that I didn't even open Facebook because I got bored of it and I knew there was nothing there that interested me. I also deleted a lot of apps from my phone.

Right at this moment I love how I feel about myself. I love the fact that I don't use my phone that much, I love that when I check my phone, there aren't 10 notifications from different apps. I just love seeing nothing on my homescreen. I feel like some sort of burden was lifted from my shoulders and that I can do whatever the hell I want with myself and most importantly: I don't need to prove anything to anyone. It's just me, myself and I. That's all I need ( besides my friends and family:P ).

The end of my long ramble which is basically an explanation of my absence hah. Hope I didn't bore you that much. Have a great day.
❤

GOODBYE WINTER, HELLO SPRING

Hi guys. Long time no see. You can say I was lazy and besides that, in February, I had a lot of exams which I passed some of them. The others will have to be done in June. That is why I am already starting with studying and hopefully things go as planned, because I really want to have some free time from July on so I can work and earn a bit of money.
So yes I have to admit that not much has happened in February. Only some bits and pieces happened- the most important one is that my 2 dear friends came back from Erasmus exchange and I missed them so much. I started reading more because I think I was in a reading slump these last six months and I'm so happy that I'm back. I just love reading and there are so many new books out that I don't even know where to begin. Of course I bought a few books over the last months but not nearly enough. If I could have a library at home, I would definitely spend most of my time there. Also my sister and I went to see the Beauty and the Beast movie and I was pleasantly surprised by it. They did an amazing job, the characters were well picked and it was just magical. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite Disney movies so I had high hopes for the movie as well. Other than that I don't think much has happened + March was the worst month so far because so many weird things happened. I'm just glad that I'm over with it. I have to say that I'm mostly focused on uni at the moment, because I really want to pass the exams on time. This means that my days won't be as interesting as I would like, but I say to myself that in the end it'll be worth it. I just can't wait for summer and doing nothing. My favourite part of the year. (yeah I'm a lazy person, don't blame me.)
So today I wanted to say goodbye to the worst season of the year - winter. It's my least favourite and I am always happy when it comes to an end and then my second favourite season comes. Spring is such a beautiful time of the year. Everything starts to blossom, days get longer and warmer. It's such a nice feeling and you can feel in the air that something nice is coming. I must say that it sort of lifts me up. It wakes me up and I feel like I'm ready to conquer the world. Spring has such positive vibes that helps me get motivated for everything. So today's post is a farewell to you winter. Yes you have some good sides, but that just isn't enough for me. Spring is far more interesting than you. Who knows maybe I'll start to like winter eventually, but this day hasn't come yet. For now I'll just enjoy the wonders of warmer seasons.

OVERALLS FOR SUMMER

Hi guys :)

I am still in Croatia and this is another pre-made post. I recently purchased these amazing overalls. I wanted one for so long time. Originally I wanted them to be long but since it is summer, I decided for the shorter version and I have to tell you that I am glad I chose them.I wear them all the time and I always pair them with a crop top and this is by far my favourite summer outfit. I am not exaggerating if I tell you that I wore it at least twice a week in July. They're so comfortable and they bring back memories of childhood, when we used to wear it all the time. My favourite thing about it would probably have to be the buttons and the way they function. I am obsessed with that.

Like I said, I like to pair them with crop tops and honestly I think it works out perfectly. Because of the length of it, you don't have to worry about untucked T-shirt and things like that. So I took this lovely striped crop top and some basic sandals with these wide straps- I really like the brown and gold combination of it. I also added a small dark blue bag only to put in the things you need - a phone some money, a pair of sunglasses. I have to tell you guys that overalls are my new favourite obsession and I think I will not get tired of them for some time ( I think).

Let me know what you guys think about overalls and how would you style them. Have a great day :)

BLACK&BLUE

''I think that when you're in doubt on how many colours should you have in one outfit, then you can simply build the whole look around one colour and go from there.''

A TWIST

That heat wave is real guys. Don't get me wrong I love summer and everything that goes with. What I don't like is people complaining about it. I mean it's summer it's supposed to be hot and sunny and all that. Oh well, I guess not everyone likes the summer. I can't blame you but don't you just love warm evenings and late sunsets and you can be out at 10 pm and the sun will just go down. You just gotta love the summer. And don't get me started on beautiful sunsets at the seaside-perfection. Anyways sorry for such a lack of posts. I am a living mess. I study and sometimes I'm just too lazy to get up and turn on the computer and write a post. I know I'm not a good blogger ;)
But here I am and with a new outfit post. I don't have a lot of colours but this burgundy bag from Zara (which is Maja's btw... shhh don't tell anyone). It's quite a simple outfit if you wear it with flats but here's the twist - if you decide on wearing heels, then you have yourself a classy, chic outfit and people will start taking you more seriously. I love the combination of the printed shorts and a see-through blouse. Let me know what you guys think about it. Talk to you very soon I promise :D

CROP TOP & THAT BAG

Woohoo I can't believe summer is already here (Let's ignore that it's raining where I live at the moment...). I got a bit chilly but I don't disapprove of it because the last few days were so warm (31°C). We're not going to talk about my exams because I feel that that's all I'm saying and I have a slight feeling that you could get irritated by that (I do when someone talks about school all the time). To be honest with you guys there's nothing interesting at the moment. I can't wait to finish school, I can't wait to finally go swim in a swimming pool, to watch my favourite TV shows... Those random things that you usually don't have time for when you're studying. I got to say that with all the exams and the blog and the YouTube channel, I think I am doing just fine (hope I didn't jinx that right now). Let me know some of your favourite TV shows or movies that you reccomend and I'll watch those as soon as my exams are over.

I have an outfit post for you today. Since it's hot and summer I decided to dress for the occasion. I put this gorgeous mint green crop top from H&M and over that I added a black vest since I am not yet 100% comfortable with wearing crop tops. For my pants I decided to take these light jeans with a zipper at the end. Since I am a girl, I have a lot of things so I took this amazing white rucksack from Top Shop which I absolutely adore. I also have on my wedge heel sneakers to make me look a bit taller (who doesn't want that). Of course I had to have some accessories. I added 2 necklaces. They're very minimalistic which I really like at the moment and they're both from H&M. I then also added these lovely earrings which were a gift from my friend and I just love the aztec print on it.
Talk to you in my next post which might be a small restaurant review.... Not sure yet but I think it'll be soon. Let me know in the comments how you like my outfit for today. Hope you're having an amazing summer.

ARTSY

It's hectic I have to admit but I guess that's the life of a blogger and a student at once. Maja and I are always out and about and we are taking pictures of our outfits and it's really cool how we always manage to find time to do all of this. We also both have to study for our upcoming exams but we are quite chilled and I think we'll have good results. I have my oral exam tomorrow and I really hope I'll do well because that means one thing less to worry about when I'm on my holidays. So yeah we're getting there slowly.
I guess this post will be a bit shorter because I'm just waiting to go to sleep and wake up fresh and prepared for tomorrow. Let me tell you a bit about these pictures. They were taken in Ljubljana and, as you  will be able to see, some of my poses are a bit more edgier and that is because I wanted to try out different things in front of a camera. So I really had fun shooting it and I think it turned out pretty welll. I'll let you be the judge of that. I wore this well-known piece of mine - a vintage purple blazer, added some Zara leggings with a zipper at the side and a lovely floral top from New Yorker. And I have to thank Maja for lending me the shoes. Now enjoy the pictures and feel free to leave your opinions. Talk to you soon.
