LITTLE WHITE DRESS

Hi guys, I'm coming at you with another fashion post. I have to say I'm getting good at this. We'll see how long it lasts. My summer has officially started and now I can just relax, do whatever I want and not feel guilty about it. Yesterday I was reading a book until 1.30 in the morning and it felt so good. I am back on track. I still need to see what I'll do this summer and where to go on vacation because I don't have that planned just yet.

I want to show you this plain dress that I got a few months ago. At first, I wasn't sure if I want it because it's really nothing special, but I decided to take it anyway. So a few days ago I had an opportunity to see what I could do with it. I had 2 choices: go heavy on the jewelry and adding as much colour as possible because it looks like a canvas on which you can paint whatever you want. Or I could just add a statement bag or statement shoes and as little jewelry as possible. So you can see by the pictures that I opted for the second version. I realized I don't like to overdo my outfits. I don't like the outfit to be all over the place. Of course, I have my days where I wear funky clothes but I usually don't add many accessories to it. I like to balance everything. If I have funky shoes, I will definitely wear plain jeans and a simple top.

Here I have a dress as the main piece and I just need a little bit of colour or in this case, a bit of glitter to spice up the outfit. This is definitely a summer dress or even a beach dress, so I think you don't have to go overboard with it. You don't need too many accessories because it has its own charm. I wore these gorgeous espadrilles that I purchased at Mass on sale. I just love the glitter. To be honest, I am quite obsessed with them. I also added a statement purse to give the whole outfit a splash of colour. That is everything. I also didn't bother with makeup because I feel this look is definitely more on a simple side.

That's it for this post. Hope you have an amazing summer.

SWEATPANTS & HOW I STYLE THEM

It's way past my bed time but my brain isn't tired a bit. I can't quite comprehend how they work so I'm stuck here at 1am studying and at the same time writing a post. It's such an awful timing at the moment. Finals are already here. I've had 4 so far and I got 2 more to go. Internally I'm dying but hey it'll be worth it at the end. If I pass all of them of course. Fingers crossed.

Some time ago my sister and I went to Italy and we visited a department store where we bought ourselves some goodies. I knew I were going to buy something even though I decided a long time ago that I wouldn't spend money on unecessary items. Of course they had sales so I already knew that my plan is going to be ruined. I bought a few fashion pieces which I am really happy about and they are definitely something that I wouldn't choose right away. One of them are the sweatpants on the pictures.

Maja knows me and she also knows I would never go out in public in sweatpants unless I'm going to have a relaxed walk. This piece of clothing is something that changed my whole perspective on fashion. I could never wear sweatpants anywhere. I'm just that type of girl that likes to get all dressed up and puts some effort into her outfits. I always wear jeans, fancy pants or dresses, but never sweatpants. When I saw these I already noticed that they were different. First of all the colour of them is amazing. Navy blue is one of my favourite colours when buying clothes and when I saw these pants I immediately grabbed them. The second thing that I love about this item is the material. It's so soft and it almost feels as real silk. Definitely not your regular type of sweatpants. I just went straight ahead and tried them on. They fitted me perfectly. The top to go with it is also from that store. It was actually Maja who was trying it on at the time, but I noticed it would look great with my bottoms because of the colour of the stripes. When I tried the whole thing on, it was immediately sold and taken back home with me.

I am aware that sweatpants are already a fashion statement for some time now, but I just can't grasp the idea of people walking around in sweatpants and looking good. I guess I had to do my own testing. I see a lot of fashion influencers wearing them and looking absolutely amazing and now I see that it's not that hard to style them youself.

When I style these pants I definitely like to connect the top with the bottom. In this case I connected the colour of the top with the stripes at the side of the pants. You can also have a darker top - a navy blue one or even black. I would definitely recommend to keep it simple with the upper piece. I wouldn't add too many different patterns, but I would definitely encourage you to mix materials. Here, I immediately knew that I had to keep it simple with the top because pants were already somewhat shiny and I didn't want to overdo it by adding another shiny material.

All in all I think if you have 'fancy' sweatpants, you don't have to put too much effort into styling them. The pants themselves do the trick. All you need to do is find a top that suits you and doesn't overshine your amazing new piece of clothing. I'm super excited that I got them because I learned something new and from now on I will definitely not be afraid of getting a new pair of joggers ;) There is also a big plus to this purchase. I mixed comfort with style and that is one of my main rules when it comes to styling my outfits every day. To feel good in your outfit helps you feel good  about yourself as well and the level of confidence just goes as high as possible.

Hope you liked this post. Have a great day ahead.

TIME FOR PEPLUM TOP

Hello everyone. I have to say that I am stoked for summer. It's already here and I can't wait to fully enjoy it. Just 2 more weeks of studying and then I can do whatever I want. The best feeling ever. I've decided I'm not going to spend it watching tv shows and movies because I realised that is a waste of my time. I'll read and do more posts for you guys. I really miss taking pictures and just write about what is happening. I also miss making videos. I don't know why it just like the process of making one - film it, edit it and that's that. I hope I'll get to do that more often too.

Right now I am like a cocoon - I've been studying for a week and I haven't properly left the apartment. I will go crazy soon. And I still need to study for 2 weeks because my last exam is on June 23rd. I have no idea how I'll endure that. But I've decided I want to finish everything on time and I really hope I'll be able to do that. But after that I'll try to enjoy my vacation and do something productive. A lot of times it happpens that all I do is the opposite-watch tv and do nothing and then I argue with myself  why did I do that. That's so me. Hopefully this year it'll be different.

I wanted to share with you this gorgeous piece of clothing. I really like that it's so fancy. I can literally just wear my skinny jeans and this top and I'll look like I've put a lot of effort in it, when actually the top itself does all the work. You don't even have to add a lot of jewelry because of the golden detail under the collar bone. Maybe a few rings and that's more than enough. The other thing I really like about the top is the mixing of fabrics. The white part is silky material and the black part is faux leather. I am obsessed with mixing different fabrics because I feel like it adds some sort of dimension to your clothes, it looks really special. The fact that it's peplum also emphasises the girliness and the playfulness of the top which again makes it more special. All in all the top has a lot of my favourite features. Also you can spice up the whole outfit a little-add a pair of high heels and you are all set for a night out. You don't have to worry about anything. It's by far the most effortless outfit I've ever worn and still manage to look like I've done something more to it (don't even know what this sentence means xD).

That's it for today's post. Hope you enjoyed it and I hope it gave you some inspiration for your future outfits. Untill next time xx

BROOKLYN '87

Another day another post. I am getting good at this. I am telling you guys - if you have pre-planed posts, life gets so much easier and you are so satisfied with yourself. You've done a lot of work and you have time to do something else (maybe go shopping). I am enjoying these final days of school-free moments and I am trying to relax. When are you guys going back to school? Every time school year ends, I have the urge to watch all the TV shows and all the movies there are, but when I finally have the time to do it, I do everything else but watch movies. I don't know why. I'd love to watch Charmed or The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Oh well I guess during school year will also be a good time to do it (I'm such a liar). That is why I procrastinate - I watch movies instead I do my homework or anything related to school work (don't we all). So I don't start school untill October but I still have a few exams that I have to re-take and that is what bothers me at the moment.
Anyways let's not talk about school and let's see what kind of outfit I have prepared for you. By now, I am sure you all know I like to wear cozy outfits and this one is precisely that. There is however a twist to these kind of outfits. I like to dress them up a little bit. I like to add a lovely necklace, or a lovely pair of heels, or an amazing purse. Those little things that makes me think I have a decent outfit that day and that I don't look like I just got up.
For this outfit I have an amazing loose jumper with a print on it and some plain denim shorts. I love wearing this kind of combination: tops with longer sleeves and a pair of shorts. I dressed up this outfit by adding a gorgeous layered necklace that has these cute triangles on it with an Aztec print. I have this amazing purse that I got for my birthday. So we can say that this outfit is not so plain, or am I wrong? What do you guys think?

THAT 70s

Time is passing by and today I want to show these amazing, breath-taking pants. They are 70s inspired and have a floral print all over them. It's made out of a sheer material but it has a lining in the right parts so it's all good girls AND I got these gorgeous pair of pants on sales-that's another perk. Let me know what you guys think about them. At first, I was totally against this trend but I guess if you don't try it out, you'll never know how it suits you. That's always how it goes with me and the new trends - I will hate some of them but then I'll love it and that's the end of story. So that's exactly what happened with the 70s trend. It's back and I'm diggin' it. I too have to confess that if the outfit doesn't include one piece from today's time, then I probably won't like it. Darn, I'm so complex.

I styled these beauties with a basic bright pink top and some platform sandals that I already showed you in one of my previous posts. I also added this lovely gold necklace to make the outfit more interesting and a gorgeous bracelet (similar here) that I got for my  birthday from my best friend.
Enjoy in this set of pictures and I'll talk to you soon ❤️‍

WILD LIFE

Today was a pretty hectic day and I loved it. It was so busy and my sister and I did a lot of work. We shot 3 outfit posts and we also filmed them for a new Back to School video that we're preparing. Anyways let me tell you a bit about today. We went on a bus at 9AM and we got home at around 2PM-ish. At first it was gloomy and we didn't want to take pictures, so we went into our local drugstore Müller and got ourselves few bits and pieces. I also went to Lush and treated myself with a face scrub, because my skin feels so weird lately. In that time the weather got better and of course we took advantage of it and changed into our second outfit and shot another set of pictures. So I think that's a lot and when we got home we also took a few pictures in our hometown. I just love that feeling when you do a lot of things and you are satisfied with yourself.
Now I am here writing this post and trying to edited it. After that I have to try my new scrub from Lush and see if it's any good. This is actually my first product from Lush, so I hope it'll be satisfying.
Let's go onto the pictures. I have an outfit post (in case you didn't get it :P). I wore this gorgeous printed tank top, which you know I have an obsession with if you have read my previous post. I added this chain necklace to make the outfit appear edgier. Because of the gloomy weather, I also had this olive-green jacket. And my all-time favourite (and only one at the moment) slip-ons with an amazing snake print on them.
Hope you enjoy in the pictures. See you soon ❤️‍

MY SUMMER PICKS

Hi everybody.
Today I wanted to show you something a little bit different and that is MY SUMMER PICKS, which basically means what I've been wearing the most this summer. I am aware that summer is not over yet, but I still wanted to show you guys. I have been obsessed with these things and I can't stop wearing them. So to make things a little more interesting I made 4 collages so that you can visualize it easier and I kind of separated them into categories. Now let's begin our quest :D

1) Here's the first collage, which is built out of tops. Oh and a special pair of pants.
This summer I got obsessed with crop tops and I don't know why but I guess it has to do with a new pair of dungarees. I love wearing something of a shorter length because summer is so hot and it feels so good when I have a loose crop top. Another piece of clothing that I have been obsessed with, these last couple of days, are loose jumpers. It's gotten a bit chilly here and it's raining and the best thing that I like to wear are these jumpers. They're os cozy and I love the ones that are slightly oversized. I could stay in them forever ;)
The next thing are printed T-shirts. I love pairing them with statement necklaces and a pair of skinny jeans. And of course my dungarees. They're my latest obsession and I am not kidding if I tell you that I wear them non-stop. They're so laid-back and cozy and they remind me of my childhood, so no wonder I love them.

2) The next collage consists of accessories. I literally never leave the house without any of these-necklace or a ring. I adore chunky rings and of course midi rings. I think midi rings have been on the market for quite some time now, but Leja will start wearing a lot later. Oh well, let's say I'm special and not late in these sort of things. Okay but I have to admit that I had mixed feelings about midi rings. Necklaces are my favourite piece of accessorie and if I had to choose between any of them, I would definitely choose my collection of necklaces which is still growing. I have this thing about layered necklaces and if they are also statement, then that's a big plus. Love love love ❤️‍

3) This collage is a bit girly and there's not much to say about it. Out of all dresses or skirts, skater ones are my favourite to wear and this summer was no exception. I wore them on vacation and I still wear it. I don't like bodycon dresses because I am just not yet confident about them. Anyways I love pairing skater skirts with converse or if I want to look more girly, I'll add a pair of wedges.

4) And the last summer obsession are my beautiful bags. I love having different types of bags and in this collage you can see the ones I've been wearing the most and been of course obsessed with. Backpacks are a must right now for me. I love that I can put it on both of my shoulders and get that school-ish vibe. I also really like that they look super trendy and fashionable. My favourite ones are leather. I also love having clutches for short trips and when I go to college, I take big handbags a.k.a. Shoppers. Shoulder bags got me hooked this summer because when I go out I don't need a lot of things and because of it I need a smaller bag. I have the exact one as in this picture and it's the perfect size for me. I also really like that it has a shape, If you're wondering this one's from Accessorize and you can check it out here.

CINDERELLA INSPIRED HAIRSTYLE

Hello!
Hope you're having a great start of the week. I am currently on vacation in Croatia. I think I deserve some 'me' time and relax and enjoy my time with friends. I will be very brief and will leave with a set of pictures that were made last week.

Not long ago, I was watching Cinderella and it was so cute. I was immediately drawn to the hair Cinderella was wearing, so I decided I should try and atempt to do something similar to that. It's not the hairstyle that she wore to the ball, but the one that she had on a daily basis. I guess this hairstyle is inspired by this movie. I just think it's so cute. Oh and it's not as messy as her's.

Basically what I did is I made one braid on each side of the head and pinned them at the back of the head. I did the dutch version of a braid because I just LOVE the 3D effect. The only thing that I didn't do, is add some flowers in the hair or a flower crown. So guys if you ever make a hairstyle that would look great with a hair accessory, then I definitely suggest you add something. It'll look great and amazing for summer.

So now enjoy the pictures and tell me if you watched the movie. See you soon with another post.

A TWIST

That heat wave is real guys. Don't get me wrong I love summer and everything that goes with. What I don't like is people complaining about it. I mean it's summer it's supposed to be hot and sunny and all that. Oh well, I guess not everyone likes the summer. I can't blame you but don't you just love warm evenings and late sunsets and you can be out at 10 pm and the sun will just go down. You just gotta love the summer. And don't get me started on beautiful sunsets at the seaside-perfection. Anyways sorry for such a lack of posts. I am a living mess. I study and sometimes I'm just too lazy to get up and turn on the computer and write a post. I know I'm not a good blogger ;)
But here I am and with a new outfit post. I don't have a lot of colours but this burgundy bag from Zara (which is Maja's btw... shhh don't tell anyone). It's quite a simple outfit if you wear it with flats but here's the twist - if you decide on wearing heels, then you have yourself a classy, chic outfit and people will start taking you more seriously. I love the combination of the printed shorts and a see-through blouse. Let me know what you guys think about it. Talk to you very soon I promise :D
