MISSLYN EYESHADOW REVIEW

Hello lovelies.

Today I'm actually doing my first ever review. At least I think it's my first one. If it's not, then let's just pretend it is. So my friend surprised me with a very late birthday gift. Why late? Because my birthday is on July and she gave the present to me 2 weeks age. Yay I explained it normally.
I was super excited for what I got. I don't any eyeshadow palettes because I'm not a big makeup freak and I also don't wear a lot of eyeshadows, Now I got a chance to change my habit. She gave me this amazing palette by Misslyn. I already own one of their lipsticks and I'm really satisfied with it. The palette is called Shades of Nude 3 and from the name you can see it's all about the nudes. It has shimmers and a few mates in it. Shimmers are very subtle so I can very at day time. The whole palette consists of 12 shades and they're divided in the packs of three so it sort of tells you which ones to use together. I tried this theory but I ended up mixing them. It also has a brush in it but I probably won't use it. The colours vary from white to dark brown. They're quite pigmented but if you want a really dramatic look, then I would suggest to apply multiple coats of it. The colours are buildable.
I am really satisifed with this palette and I think it'll be a great one to practice doing a smokey eyes look.
It is a very affordable brand so I reccomend it to anyone who isn't good at applying eyeshadows and who at the beginning doesn't want to spend a lot of money on it. It's perfect for anyone.
Next time I'll have a makeup look from this palette.  Have a lovely day.

OCTOBER TBR

Hey everyone.

For today's post I've decided to show you what I'm going to read in the month of October. As you all know I love books and for the last half of the year I've been in a reading slump and I didn't read a lot of books. So I started watching a lot of booktubers and I became obsessed with books again. I love watching their hauls or TBR'S (to be read) and I get excited about it. I think forming a list of books to read is a great idea because that way you read more books and you get excited for some books you wanted to read for a long time. I want to share with you my October TBR and hopefully I'll finish them all. Now I just want to put out there that I'm not going to read like 10 books because my goal is not about quantity but quality. So I will try and read 4 books this month.
On the picture you can see that there are 3 books. I don't have the fourth one but I'll take it from the library as soon as I get there. Starting from the top is The Queen Of The Tearling which I am actually already half way through. I started reading it on October 1st and in one day I devoured half of it. It is truly amazing. The next one is The Maze Runner which is on my list for quite some time now but I still haven't got to it. I read 50 pages of it but I'm going to start all over again. The next one is the first book from The Fallen series. I read like a half of this series but I stopped and I'm not sure why. So I decided to give it another try so I'm starting qith the first book again. And the last book that I hope I'll be getting to in October is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I read the first 2 books in September and I'm continuing with the 3rd one. I am really excited about it.
So this is my list of books that I'll hopefully read in October. Let me know if you make lists yourselves and what type of books do you like to read. I'll talk to you very soon. Bye

VALENCIA

Hello my lovelies. As you know from one of my previous posts I've been to Valencia. The trip was really amazing. Of course it was since it's a new country, new town, new people. The weather was just amazing- it was 32°C but some days it felt even more. We were there for 5 days and we stayed at the apartment with the most amazing living room. The ceiling was so high and on one wall it had one big window. It was old but that's what gave it the uniqueness. I enjoyed coming back to that apartment in the evening. The best experience from the whole trip would have to be L'oceanografic. It is an aquarium and it's truly amazing. It's also sorrounded with a few other modern buildings so the whole area was good for walkers, joggers and it's made for long walks.

Everytime I visit a new city there's a lot of walking involved. This time was no exception. We were all tired when we got back to the apartment in the evening. My feet were hurting so much but I carried on anyway. We did take the bus and the metro but we exaggerated the first day so the consequences were big. We've seen the Zoo, The botanic gardens, we climbed the tower and had an amazing view from the top, we went shopping (duhh), we visited the central market. There was a lot of things we saw and visited. The trip was amazing and I'm glad we choose to go there. Even though it's not the biggest city in Spain, we still enjoyed it a lot and we got to go to the beach one day which was pretty amazing. Sand everywhere you look. I'll leave you with a bunch of pictures for you to look at. Let me know if you've been to Valencia and wht do you think about it. Have a lovely day.

The upper pictures are from the central market in Valencia

One of the castles that we visited and it has a huge hall. Yuup that's me in it

Plaza De La Virgen Valencia

We lived a few metres away from this amazing bull ring and the main road, so the location was on point.

Their Zoo is amazing and it's called Bioparc

Here's where we climbed and had a view of the whole city

That's the part I was most excited about and it was mind blowing. Totally worth to visit and at night also.

The beach was stunning as I said and so big. I wish I could go back.

They have a lot of parks but we wanted to see the Jardin Botanico and it didn't let us down. So much grenery and perfect place to relax.

FOR THE LOVE OF BOOKS: reading space

I have always loved scrolling through Tumblr and watch pictures that showed books, people reading, different reading spaces. By reading spaces I mean cozy beds, cute armchair or even outdoor spaces where you take a blanket and you put it under the tree. It's always been an addiction of mine. All this time that I discovered these amazing and appealing places, I would always save the picture and look at it later when I go to bed or when I have nothing to do. I have never though of my reading space. I remember loving reading already when I was little. I would go to the library with my mom and my sister and I was left at the kids section and I picked out so many books and that was before I knew how to read good. I was so happy about it because I got to hold them and read them in the evening or to my dolls-even if I made up the story in the book. I felt content with myself and somehow I was at peace. It was like my own little peace of the world and I knew I wouldn't be disturbed. As I started growing up my passion for books didn't vanish and we still went to the library and I still remember the day when I started reading books that had zero pictures in it and were more than 50 pages long. All this happened in a quite small library in our town and a few years later we got a new, bigger library and you can imagine that I felt like a kid at the candy store. So many books to choose from and so my journey continued.

Reading space is by far the most important thing for me when I want to read a book. I cannot read somewhere where I don't feel relaxed and comfortable. My perfect reading space would definitely have to be cozy-filled with blankets and cushions. I love to use blankets to make the place look warm and inviting. A book on its own is already amazing but I love to make the whole experience even better. That's why I love having the perfect reading space. Of course I can read on the train or when I'm waiting for an appointment at the dentist but it's not the same. When I read on my bed and I'm sorrounded with cushions that is simple perfection. I love being 100% devoted to reading a book and I know it was all worth it because it gave me such a pleasure and I read the book with an ease. One other thing that I love to have in connection with a reading space is a good old tea or a cocoa. Hot beverage is something that makes me concentrate on reading so it's very welcoming when I have it (and I'm not to lazy to make it). The lighting is also one of the most important things for when I'm reading. Though I have to admit that when I'm into the book I don't even realize that it's dark and so my eyes struggle and that's not good for the eyes.

For me, a book is really one of the best things in the world. Reading has always been a part of my life and I'm really glad my mom always took me to the library with her. I had an opportunity to explore so many different worlds and today is no difference. I still discover something new. I still enjoy every time I read something new. I never get tired of it and I hope my passion for books will stay. At the moment I'm obsessed with dystopian novels and fantasy. And this minute I'm reading Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets.

YOU PICK A NAME

Back from Valencia and ready for my blog. I told you I was going to focus on it more and now it's time to do so. I already told you I love reading and I love reading blogs about books and I also LOVE watching book hauls and book reviews on Youtube. I've become addicted to it and I am not ashamed to say that I love it. It made me want new books even more and I'll get them one day (I hope) ;) I'll also post about hairstyles which I also love to do and of course fashion related posts. Hope you'll be interested in that. Let's now move on to my post and you've probably seen a picture of this cute ponytail.
I love wearing ponytails and I also love wearing ponytails with a slight turn to it. I wanted to show you a new hairstyle that was inspired by Lara Croft. Yeah, I was watching a movie the other day and I thought why not try this one out. It's so simple and it makes your ponytail interesting. So I did it and this is how it turned out to be.

AN EXPERIMENT

Hey hey. This is going to be a quite short post. I wanted to show you this amazing creation that my mom did. One day she came to me and said she wanted to try a hairstyle so I agreed to it. I was not expecting that. She first asked me for a pencil and an elastic and that was it. Once she was finished my sister came to see the hairstyle and said it was perfect for some formal event. I looked at it and yes I was also pretty amazed. Let me know what you think guys :D

BLACK LACE

I forgot to tell you that I'm going to Valencia and that's TODAY. I'm super excited and all ready to go. I think I have all I need so I pray I didn't forget anything. I hope I'll take a lot of photos so that you guys can see where we've been and how was it like.
I now I've ben M.I.A. these few weeks but I am back and ready to get back into blogging. I also think that I'm going to make a few changes about my posts-what topics I'm going to post. For now I will leave you with these pictures. I made another mistake regarding fashion. I was way hotter that day than I thought it would be and I was left with a leather jacket under my arm. I made this mistake in the post where I wore leather pants and I almost died.
In this outfit I wore this simple but fancy laced top with light denim and I added these amazing boots from H&M. I also added a light purple clutch for a pop of colour because I was way too black. Hope you have an amazing rest of the week. Talk to you soon.

ERROR IN COMUNICATION

Long time no see guys.

I have to apologize because first I had a  few of the exams to write and then the computer stopped working and I have no idea why but it sucks. The weird part about it is that only internet connection doesn't work. I am writing now from Maja's computer and everything's working perfectly fine. So besides college that is the other (lame) reason why I have neglected my blog and od posting often. It feels so rude not to twice or three times a week because I'm used to that and it's almost been 2 weeks and I'm ashamed of myself. But we have to move on.
For today's post I have a casual outfit for you. It's almost all in black because I got these gorgeous new Oxford shoes and they're glossy. I'm so pumped about them because it adds a whole new perspective on my wardrobe and I think it's amazing. I paired them with a pair of skinny jeans, a striped t-shirt and over everything I had a baby pink cardigan. It looks very conservative but when you look at the shoes it becomes more interesting. If I had a long grey cat, I would definitely wear it instead of the cardigan but colours are important too guys. At least until winter comes and we all start wearing black :(

Let me know what you guys think about glossy shoes and if you own a pair.

A LONG TIME AGO

A long time ago I wrote a post about a topic that I could talk about all the time. It was a post about Books.
I don't know if you know this little secret about, but I do love books. I love that feeling when you discover a new book and you start reading it and you're so hooked that you can't put it down even for 10 minutes. Those kind of emotions are truly my favourite ones. Ever since I started college last year I haven't found the time to just sit and choose a random book and indulge in it.

A few months ago I came across a Youtube channel all about books-reviews, reccomendations,.. and of course I got a little obsessed with it. I thought to myself-if I don't have the time to read, then I'll watch these kind of videos that'll definitely cheer me up. I also came across a new account on Instagram that is all about books. I kind of sorrounded myself with books even though I don't have the time to actually take one in my hands and read it. Yeey Leja is showing her nerdiness (is that even a word?).

What the heck. I love writing a blog and I especially like writing about the things I like or should I say love or let's say adore. I don't know why blogposts about books isn't a monthly thing? It's also something I love reading on other blogs and that feeling when someone makes a review on a book that you're interested in... Yep, books have weird effect on me. I just love them. Does anyone else love the smell of a new book? And even a better feeling when you can buy a new book and soak in it. There is a bookstore in Ljubljana that has a lot of Fiction and Sci-Fi books (my favourite ones to read) and everytime I enter I want to leave with 5 new books but in the end I can only afford one otherwise I would be broke all the time. Some people are addicted to drugs, I am addicted to books.

This was a little intro into what you can, hopefully, expect in the future + my thoughts were a bit obsessed with the thought of not reading as much as I used to. Of course I need to hear your thoughts on this plan and if you like books in general.

Love, Leja

ELSA INSPIRED HAIRSTYLE

Who doesn't love Frozen? I think it was the most adorable animated movie and I just love Elsa's braid. That is by far the thickest hair I've ever seen (let's ignore that she's a cartoon). So let me tell you a story behind my hairstyle. Last week my cousin had her wedding and a week before it I still didn't know what kind of hairstyle should I have. So my mom experimented on my hair and believe it or not, she actually made it to do the braid exactly like Elsa's. I was amazed and shocked in a good way. The only trick to it is that you make a basic dutch braid and when you finish it you spread the braid out so it looks like you have so much hair. I was so surprised by the result and I thought it's a perfect hairstyle for a wedding in August-your hair is out of the way and you're not hot at all.
I really want to know what you guys think of this hairstyle and if my mom succeeded in making the replica of Elsa's hairstyle. I will see you soon ❤️‍
